Our History at The Atrium
Mike Moon Studio has photographed more than 40 weddings at The Atrium.
Summer weddings and winter ones. Bright afternoons and gray, overcast days. A harpist before the ceremony, a kilt at the toasts, Jamaican flags on the dance floor and glow sticks at the send-off.
When you photograph a venue that many times, you stop guessing. You know where the gazebo looks best, how the bamboo grove frames a long train, and how long it takes to walk the wedding party from the fountain to the ceremony.
That experience is what this guide is about.
What The Atrium Feels Like on a Wedding Day
A Garden, a Fountain and a White Gazebo
The Atrium is a garden venue. Paths wind past a fountain, a stone pergola and a bamboo grove to a white gazebo draped in greenery, with a chandelier hanging inside.
Because the portrait spots are all in the same garden, the day moves at an easy pace. You spend less time traveling between spots and more time with your people.
How the Day Usually Flows
Every wedding is different, but most of the Atrium weddings we’ve photographed follow a similar rhythm.
First look. The garden is where couples choose most often. We’ve photographed first looks on the garden path, with the fountain and the pergola close by for portraits right after.
Ceremony. Most of our couples marry in the garden, under the white gazebo. We’ve seen it styled with greenery and florals, and with a harpist playing as guests arrive.
Reception. The party moves inside for a grand entrance, toasts, the cake and the first dance under the chandelier.
Evening. After dark, the string lights come on and the gazebo glows. This is one of our favorite times of the day here.
Send-off. We’ve photographed bubble send-offs, glow-stick send-offs and couples running through rows of cheering guests.
Our Favorite Photo Spots at The Atrium
The garden fountain. A classic for couple portraits, and just as good at night under the string lights.
The bamboo grove. Tall green bamboo on both sides makes a striking frame, especially for a long train or veil.
The stone pergola. A shaded spot for quieter, seated portraits.
The white gazebo. Where most ceremonies happen, and lit up after dark, it’s one of the best night portrait spots at the venue. Our Moonlite Lighting System keeps those night portraits clean and natural.
The Atrium Through the Seasons
We’ve photographed The Atrium in summer and in winter, and the garden holds up in both.
And don’t worry about clouds. Most of the Atrium galleries on our site were shot on overcast days, when the light in the garden is soft and even.
Booking Mike Moon Studio at The Atrium
The Atrium now offers its own in-house photographers, and that’s a convenient option for many couples.
If you’d love to have the team that has photographed 40+ weddings here, you can still book us directly, and there’s no fee for bringing an outside photographer. Just reach out with your date, and we’ll take it from there.
We still love photographing weddings at The Atrium.
